Established in 1923 in Tokyo, the production of L-type thread milling machines began a few years later, as well as the production of the hydraulic universal cylindrical grinding machine. In 1946, Tsugami began producing grinding machines, thread rolling machines, and sewing machines. In 1968, the company was awarded the 14th Okochi Memorial Production Prize for its outstanding research and development of the thread rolling technology. Over the years, Tsugami has continued to receive recognition and awards for CNC precision automatic lathes for small and medium-sized companies.
